I attended Next: el Bulli back in 2012 and Next has since done at least another ten different menus. A quick jump on their website shows they’re now on Tapas. Well when I went, they were doing el Bulli . EL BULLI - COOKING IN During this time, Adrià and his creative team retire to their cooking laboratory in Barcelona, to create a new menu for the following season.

There is no menu at El Bulli these days; as is often the way at present the Japanese influence has taken hold, whereby the kitchen produces a series of dishes of its own choosing, though you can request in advance to avoid any ingredients to which you are allergic or simply do not fancy. El Bulli announced that it is closing in 2011, so a return visit is unlikely. But I am hopeful that Chef Adrià can use his upcoming respite to share his knowledge with aspiring chefs, infecting the culinary world with a creativity and artistry that can propel the next decade of culinary adventures.
